Charlotte Tilbury has made history as the world's first female-founded beauty brand to sponsor the 2024 Formula 1 Academy, which aims to support the training and development of female racing drivers. The partnership also marks the beauty brand's first global sponsorship in sports.
The partnership, led by Susie Wolf, Managing Director of the Formula 1 Academy, is another step in the recent surge in collaboration between beauty brands, athletes, and sports teams as a means of highlighting the interests, achievements, and viewership of women in sport.
“Through this partnership, we will use our global platform to lift up this new generation of fearless young female drivers and open up the traditionally male-dominated world of motorsport to even more talented young women,” Tilbury said. Charlotte Tilbury and the Formula 1 Academy are committed to fostering careers women drivers and expand their achievements and talents to raise awareness of sporting opportunities for women.
As for the glamorous part of the partnership, the custom sports car, helmet, and racing suit were decked out in the beauty brand's signature colors of night crimson and rose gold, and the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips logo was printed all over.
Also, Charlotte Tilbury pledged to raise awareness of the fifteen inspiring young drivers, aged between 16 and 25, on the program. In fact, Charlotte Tilbury's iconic motorsport will be driven by 18-year-old Lola Lovinfosse, who has been racing since 2018.
