Luxury niche perfume brand Moth and Rabbit has released a fragrance inspired by Sergei Parajanov’s film “The Color of Pomegranates,” reports the Armenian Film Society.
Top notes of aroma: pomegranate chord, black currant, citruses. It also contains Damask rose, white musk, sandalwood, and black pepper. “The taste of ripe pomegranates lingers on the tongue, sweet but noticeably bitter - a metaphor for the difficulties of creative existence. Each time you wear it, you are drawn into a dance of poetic visual images, a celebration of life and artistry,” notes the fragrance description on the brand’s website.
The brand was founded in Berlin in 2016 by Elke Philpes and Christian Choi. Moth and Rabbit fragrances “translate stories and emotions into olfactory products and experiences.” The brand has released perfumes based on other famous films, including Enter the Void (Gaspar Noe), One Man (Tom Ford), and Parasite (Bong Joon Ho). The fragrance “THE COLOR OF POMEGRANATE” from Moth and Rabbit costs 139 euros.
