Madonna has announced that she will perform a historic free concert on May 4 in Rio de Janeiro on Copacabana Beach as part of her latest Celebration Tour show.
The concert, sponsored by Itaú Apresenta, "will be free as a thank you to her fans for celebrating over four decades of her music on an epic global tour" and will be broadcast live on TV Globo. No tickets are required for this event, which will take place in front of the Belmond Copacabana Palace Hotel, and entry is first come, first served.
Before heading to Brazil, Madonna is set to perform in Dallas, followed by stops in Houston, Atlanta, Austin, and several other cities. She will perform on stage in Miami and Mexico City also.
The Queen of Pop kicked off her highly anticipated tour at London's O2 Arena last October with a riveting two-hour performance in which she spoke about her return to the stage after being hospitalized last year for a serious bacterial infection.
