YEREVAN. – Thousands of people assembled at the heart of Armenia’s capital city Yerevan on Sunday, September 21.
They came to the Republic Square to celebrate with great enthusiasm, and together with well-known Armenian recording artists and dance ensembles, the 23rd anniversary of Armenia’s independence. Just like every other year, a big concert was organized at the Republic Square, where numerous celebrities performed.
To note, Sunday was a double celebration day for recording artist André (Andrey Hovnanyan), who in 2006 was the first artist to represent Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest, as the singer was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia.
