Halloween is the most terrific holiday of the year. What do you know about it?
In English speaking countries children usually wear frightful costumes and go to their neighbours to ask some sweets. Besides, they carve eyes and mouth on the pumpkin and put candles inside of it.
Halloween is typical Celtic holiday. Celtic Samhain which symbolizes the entree of winter, was celebrated on 31st of October. During the 7th century The Pope of Rome Boniface IV decided to make November1 as All Saints Day in order to divert this pagan holiday.
But Halloween could survive and it is still one of the most interesting holidays for English speaking people.
Recently it has already spread throughout Europe and it has even penetrated into some Asian countries.
Yerevan is not an exception and people celebrate this day here too. Today you can attend to different Halloween parties organized in pubs and clubs of Yerevan.
