Sir Michael Caine’s tweet went viral in the Armenian Internet domains, on Wednesday evening.
Accordingly, the Hollywood actor was in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.
“Hello from beautiful Armenia,” Caine had tweeted.
But while the famous actor’s fans were trying to ascertain his whereabouts in the country, he posted another tweet: “Leaving Armenia for London.”
Nonetheless, we had found out that, before leaving Armenia, however, the Hollywood star had dined at Dolmama Restaurant, in downtown Yerevan.
NEWS.am STYLE on Thursday paid a visit to this restaurant and spoke with its manager, Zhirayr Avanyan, about the details of Michael Caine’s visit.
“The actor came here with his wife,” noted Avanyan. “He ate lamb chops, eggplant rolls, tomatoes, goat cheese at us. He also ate dolmas, and drank red wine.
“The actor was very pleased with the hospitality. He liked the lamb chops the most.”
Zhirayr Avanyan added, however, that he did not know why Michael Caine had visited Yerevan, and that his visit to the restaurant was a surprise for the staff.
The Dolmama Restaurant manager also provided us with exclusive photos that were taken with the famous actor, and his wife.
