British children's goods retailer Mothercare is suspending all activities in Russia, Reuters reports. Sales in all 120 retail stores will be suspended indefinitely.
"Mothercare informs that all activities in Russia, including the shipment of all products, have been suspended. Our local partner has confirmed that it will immediately suspend operations in approximately 120 stores and online,” the message reads.
Mothercare is a retail company that specializes in selling products for expectant mothers and children under the age of 10. The organization has more than 1,200 outlets around the world. As writes Gazeta.ru, Russia accounts for about 20-25% of its global retail sales.
