The rules of Eurovision will change from 2023, viewers from countries not participating in the contest for the first time will be able to vote for their favorite artist, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) said in a statement on the website of the organization.
"Those watching in the rest of the world will be able to vote via a secure online platform using a credit card from their country, and their votes, once added together, will be converted into points that will have the same weight as one participating country in both of the Semi-Finals and the Grand Final," the statement said.
The song contest "Eurovision" has been held annually since 1956 and is one of the most popular musical events in the world. The audience of the contest reaches 600 million people.
