Suren Arustamyan's album ‘I Am Free’ is considered for 2024 Grammies

11:01, October 27

Armenian guitarist, singer, and songwriter Suren Arustamyan's album "I Am Free" is considered for the 2024 Grammy Awards.

"I’m so excited and grateful to announce that my album “I Am Free” is considered for The 2024 Grammy awards, “Best Americana Album”! Thank you all for support!" Arustamyan wrote Suren on Instagram.

"I was doing a lot of session work as a hired guitarist and, in doing that, was fortunate to work with an array of incredible and diverse artists. All along, I was continually writing songs with my own album in mind. When the time came to finally make I Am Free I had nearly 30 songs to choose from. I contacted Tim Carmon (Clapton's longtime keyboard player), who's a great producer. I was pleasantly surprised he responded and said he was interested in producing. He was able to assemble what I consider to be a dream lineup for the recording, with guys like Steve Gadd, Nathan East, Greg Leisz and Abe Laboriel, Jr. Working with them helped breathe new dimensions into the songs and I can't overstate how much it meant to me to learn from them," Suren Arustamyan wrote on his official website.
