Salma Hayek has shared a life hack on how to quickly disguise gray hair if you don’t have time to go to the salon.

Hayek has repeatedly made it clear that she is a fan of the gray hair she has developed in recent years, calling it "wisdom gray hair." But she knows it's nice to have options, so she sometimes paints them over—and not in the most traditional way.

The actress posted a video on Instagram in which she shared an unexpected technique for temporarily covering up silver strands. “So what's the secret? How can you sometimes hide gray hair without dyeing [your hair]?” she asks. “When I'm alone, I just apply mascara,” she explains, imitating applying mascara. “And all the unruly little ones that stick out are not only blackened, but also smoothed out.”
