Eurovision: Malta representative says Armenia's song one of the favorites

16:14, May 2

Eurovision days are going by very fast and all of them are full with new impressions, meetings, rehearsal and recordings. Musical band Firelight which will be presenting Matla during Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with their song “Coming Home” had a walk in city center of Copenhagen together with Aram Mp3.

Armenian and Malta delegations enjoyed a nice walk exploring Copenhagen, walked along the canal and shared their impressions from the Eurovision stage, rehearsals and each other’s songs. While meeting with Armenian delegation, Firelight gave an interview to Armenian media as well.

How was your rehearsal and how are you preparing for the show?

We were very satisfied with the stage and overall the arena. As  for the first rehearsal everything went surprisingly good and everything was great. The stage is fantastic and is huge. They have got projections.

What do you think about Armenian song?

Well, we like it a lot. It is one of the favorites of the contest and it is a really great song.

What is the first thing you caught from Copenhagen?

It’s a very nice city and is not a very busy city, so it can really relax. It is very important in terms of Eurovision I think. There are so many nice girls you can meet in the streets. There are lot of cultural monuments and historical buildings. And we would also like to visit the Zoo here.

What are you wishes and advises to other participants of the song contest? What is your main aim of the ESC participation?

I think the main thing is to go on stage and enjoy those 3 minutes you’d be performing there. It is once in a lifetime opportunity and the most important thing you don’t let it go by. We should do our best and enjoy the maximum. The rest isn’t in our hands, the performance – that what we have. What we can do is to work hard. Those 3 minutes are crucial and we should work hard to deliver whatever we want to say to the audience. And then it’s up to Europe to vote. Forget about the competition and just enjoy the music. We are family and we have been playing music since we were 6-7. Then we met Antonio and we have been playing together so long, that to come here and play in front of 180 million people is quite a journey for us.
