First ever same-sex royal wedding will take place this summer

12:04, June 18

History will be made when Lord Ivar Mountbatten, who is Queen Elizabeth II‘s cousin, gets married to his partner James Coyle.

The 55-year-old aristocrat and his partner revealed the news of their upcoming ceremony, which will be held at a private chapel in Devon, England, in a Daily Maili nterview.

“We’ll have lovely food and really good music, but there won’t be two men in tuxedos on a cake, white doves or anything twee or contrived like that, will there?” said James.

“We’ll probably have cheese, instead of cake,” Lord Ivar amusingly added.
