It turns out that TV star Kylie Jenner’s Walnut Face Scrub is dangerous to health, reports The Sun.

In the advertisement, Jenner recommends using the “gentle, but very effective scrub” three times a week and assures that it removes dead skin cells. However, dermatologists have warned fans of Kylie Skin that the scrub’s ingredients include walnuts, which may cause serious harm to facial skin. According to them, the harsh particles of walnut shells can cause micro-tears on the skin’s surface, leaving it exposed to the elements.

“Walnut shell powder has a reputation of being a harsh exfoliator on the skin, and while it's a great way to get rid of dead skin cells, harsh exfoliating ingredients can end up tearing the skin,” British skincare expert Ross Perry said.

Most of Kylie Jenner’s fans have criticized her for using this ingredient and have said the following: "She's the head of one of the largest beauty companies in the world and she puts out a walnut scrub? That stuff is KNOWN to create damage. I'm tired of this." "Well this is horrifying. A walnut scrub? It's so tragic to think that millions of girls will buy this trash and destroy their skin barriers." "I just texted my dermatologist about this product and she said it's like using a metal scourer on your face - absolutely steer clear.”
