Popular fast food delivers dinner to… Queen Elizabeth II!

16:46, June 10

Curious case occurred in UK: the office of the international chain of fast food restaurants Domino’s Pizza in London received an “order from Buckingham Palace” with a request to deliver lunch to Elizabeth, The Sun reported.

The woman ordered four different pizzas. The client promised to pay in cash after receiving the goods. The dispatcher was surprised, but the order was accepted. Soon the courier went from the nearest restaurant to the residence.

A young man on a motorcycle at the entrance was stopped by security. A source said: “The driver was stopped by two armed police officers who got him to get off his bike and park up. One of them then radioed through to the control room to check if the Queen had indeed ordered a pizza. The next thing the copper said was ‘Sorry sir, Elizabeth is the name of the Queen - and she lives at Buckingham Palace. I think someone is winding you up. The poor guy looked very confused and just rode off.”

Store manager Zsuzsanna Queiser said: “We’ve always suspected the Queen was a secret Domino’s fan and the order to Buckingham Palace almost confirmed our suspicions. We didn’t quite make it past the gate, but the four large Cheeseburger pizzas seemed to go down pretty well with the police officers on duty. Next time, Your Majesty.”
