“Kevin Spacey is gay,” his accuser texts

11:15, June 22

Due to several sex scandals, Kevin Spacey has become a persona non grata in the global film industry. One such incident is an encounter with a minor—at the time—at a bar in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Even though the renowned actor dismisses the respective charges, a string of text messages between the accuser and his girlfriend are included in a new court filing—obtained by TMZ—in the criminal sexual assault case against Spacey, TMZ reported.

According to the documents, the texts are from screenshots taken by the accuser and provided to investigators. The accuser ended the conversation by writing, “Kevin Spacey is gay.”

Spacey’s lawyers, however, say the texts appear to pick up mid-conversation. His defense team thinks the texts do not tell the full story because most of them lack time stamps, and it is possible the accuser deleted other texts that could change the context.

The accuser also allegedly sent respective group texts to his friends.

Kevin Spacey is facing a felony charge for allegedly sexually assaulting the teenage boy in Massachusetts back in 2016. He has pled not guilty.
