Netflix presented “The Last Czars” new series about the life and death of last Russian Emperor Nicholas II and his family.
Russian viewers and bloggers slammed the series, which contains a number of geographical and historical errors.
One of Russian bloggers Rustem Adagamov criticized the film saying that there are many funny moments which are absolutely incorrect. He pointed to Armenian Khor Virap monastery, which is presented as monastery in the Ural Mountains.
In addition to the mess over Christian monasteries belonging to the Armenian Apostolic Church and Russian Orthodox Church, the creators also showed Lenin’s Mausoleum in the scene that shows what is happening in 1905.
