Princess Beatrice is engaged to her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, her parents have announced, BBC reported.  

"We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together," the pair said in a statement. "We share so many similar interests and values, and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness," they added.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mozzi have known each other since childhood, but their romantic relationship began after the wedding of Princess Eugenia. At that moment, Mozzi was still engaged to the architect Dara Huang, with whom he shares a son.

According to Dara’s father, his daughter found out about the treason from the newspapers. This circumstance could turn into a real sandalwood - it is known that Elizabeth does not approve of such unions. However, Beatrice is not the heiress to the throne, and therefore does not need official permission to marry her beloved man, albeit with a child from a past relationship.
