Nicolas Cage to play himself in ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ movie
The American actor Nicolas Cage will play himself in the ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ movie about him, The Hollywood Reporter said.
According to the publication, the Lionsgate media company is at the final stage of talks on the acquisition of rights to the movie, and if the transaction is completed, Cage will be approved in the role.
Cage will play a version of himself in so-called “meta” story, in which he is paid $1m to attend a wealthy superfan’s birthday party. He has to become a version of some of his most iconic and beloved characters.
