Prince Harry and Meghan Markle support Australians devastated by fires

14:16, January 6

The spreading fires in Australia have sparked everyone’s attention, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The situation is unpredictable. The fires have eliminated more than 6,000,000 hectares of forests, and there is news that the fires have left 20 dead and 39 wounded and burned 2,000 homes. “From areas we are personally connected to such as the communities and people we visited in New South Wales in 2018, to the fires in California and parts of Africa, we are struck by the increasingly overlapping presence of these environmental disasters, including of course the destruction of the Amazon which continues,” they wrote on Instagram.

They believe there is always a way to help and have decided to share the information of organizations to which people can send financial assistance. “It’s easy to feel helpless, but there’s always a way to help,” they stated.

Kate Middleton and Prince William have also expressed their support to the victims. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all the people and communities who are affected by this devastating event,” Middleton and William wrote on Instagram.

Recently, Prince Harry dressed up as Santa Claus and congratulated the children of the dead British army employees in a video that was recently posted online.
