Assouline has published a book about Yves Saint Laurent and his 100 unforgettable looks.
The book is dedicated to the contribution of French couturier Yves Saint Laurent to the development of the fashion industry. The author of the project Laurence Benaim explored the forty-year-old history of the great fashion designer through the 100 most striking and innovative looks he created, from the Mondrian dress to the female tuxedo.
Her previous book 'Chanel: The Impossible collection' was dedicated to Coco Chanel.
“Gabrielle Chanel gave women freedom. Yves Saint Laurent gave them power,” the author of the book wrote quoting Pierre Berger, a close friend, and partner of the Blueprint designer.
