Apple will work with Paramount Pictures on Martin Scorsese’s new movie - "Killers of the Flower Moon," starring Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio, Variety reported citing sources.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported that Scorsese's representatives are negotiating with Apple and Netflix about financing and other details as Paramount Pictures found it too expensive.
However, sources told Variety that Paramount Pictures will continue to distribute the film, and Apple will finance the film and become its creative studio. According to sources, the transaction has not yet been completed, but, most likely, this will happen in the coming days.
"Based on David Grann’s non-fiction book, “Killers of the Flower Moon” is set in 1920s Oklahoma, where the newly created Bureau of Investigation began investigating a string of murders of wealthy Osage Indians who had been granted revenue rights to oil discovered under their lands," Variety reported.
