American director and Academy Award winner Adam McKay will reportedly create a drama series for HBO, dedicated to the search for a COVID-19 vaccine, Deadline reported.
According to the publication, its production company Hyperobject Industries will take part in the development of the project, which does not yet have a name, and the show will be based on the popular science book by journalist Brendan Borrell "The First Shot".

Borrel, who has covered the challenges of finding a vaccine since the start of the pandemic, is expected to co-produce the series with Adam McKay and Todd Schulman.
