Queen Elizabeth will be at the rear of the procession in the royal Bentley during the funeral of Prince Philip, the Daily Mail reported.
Also, she has ordered grandsons, Prince William and Harry, not to walk shoulder to shoulder behind their grandfather's coffin when he is laid to rest.
They will be separated by their cousin, Peter Phillips, on the eight minute walk from Windsor Castle to church.
And when the coffin borne on a Land Rover is carried into St. George's Chapel, William will move ahead of his younger brother as they take their seats separately amongst the 30 guests, but the Queen will sit alone due to restrictions imposed on the pared-back funeral due to Covid.
It has emerged that members of the royal family will now not wear military uniform at the duke's funeral.
The move means the Duke of Sussex will not have to face being one of the only close family members who is not in uniform at Saturday's service.
Prince Harry has spoken in the past about how he and William are on “different paths” and have good and bad days in their relationship.
Their brotherly bond was put under further strain after the Sussexes' interview with Oprah Winfrey where they slammed the royal family.
