Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are, expecting their first child. Buckingham Palace has confirmed this news.

"Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year. The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news," reads the respective statement.

The couple got married in July of last year.

They have known each other since childhood, but started dating in 2018.

In August 2019, they had announced their expected engagement, which was scheduled to take place on December 18 of the same year. But Beatrice, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, had decided to postpone it due to a sex scandal involving her father, Prince Andrew.
