Brad Pitt slams Angelina Jolie attempt to overturn their kids’ custody decision

17:11, May 29

Ii should have marked the end of five years of bitter legal wrangling and bust-ups, but Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s split looks far from settled, The Sun reported.

A judge had handed Brad a major victory in their dispute, agreeing to give him 50/50 custody of their children after she blocked access—claiming he had been abusive to their son Maddox on a flight.

But new paperwork filed by Brad reveals the war is far from over after she appealed to have the judge, John Ouderkirk disqualified from their case and his decision overturned.

She is also seeking a temporary block on proceedings while she tries with further legal action.

Brad made it clear he won’t back down, blasting back in damning new documents that her antics would harm their children.

In a statement from his lawyers, he says: “Any delay would only work grave harm upon the children, who will be further denied permanence and stability.”

It adds that allowing the proceedings to be delayed would be “wholly inappropriate”.

The former couple have been at war since their 2016 divorce, with the actress bidding to retain custody of their children amid allegations Brad was abusive to their then 15-year-old son Maddox during a private jet flight from France to the US.

But following years of acrimony, Judge Ouderkirk ruled that he did not believe the allegations about Brad’s behavior and ordered him to be given access again—split 50/50 with his ex.

The ruling followed almost five years of the Oscar-winner attempting to win equal rights to their six children.

The case saw months of witness testimony, including from child services experts and therapists.

In a lengthy ruling, the judge claimed Angelina’s testimony “lacked credibility in many important areas”.

He added: “The existing custody order must be modified in the best interests of the children.”

The pair are parents to Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.
