YEREVAN. – If he had the chance, renowned British documentary filmmaker Sean McAllister would shoot a film about the restaurants in Armenia, McAllister himself stated during a press conference on Wednesday.

The British filmmaker is in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan these days to take part in the British Days, titled “Britain is…”

Along the lines of the one-month event, a retrospective of McAllister’s films will be screened between Wednesday and October 9.

“I would shoot a film about Armenia’s restaurants, the restaurants’ workers who prepare the food, and me eating [the food],” the filmmaker said.

He added he would also look for a winemaker in Armenia, to shoot a film, and subsequently start on a film about Armenian brandy.

The British documentary filmmaker noted that he is in Armenia for the first time, but he has not yet had the time to get acquainted with the life in the country.

During the next two days Sean McAllister will also conduct master classes for novice filmmakers and artists who are interested in implementing a joint project concerning the condition of the Syrian refugees in Armenia.
