There are some problems with Kim Kardashian’s new skincare collection due to the name SKKN.
On the backdrop of her divorce, earlier this month, the reality show star submitted documents to change the name of her KKW trademark. Now Kim has received a letter demanding that she stop using the trademark of Sydney Lansford from Beauty Concepts LLC which belongs to the owner of the SKKN+ trademark, TMZ reports. Beauty Concepts also claims that it had submitted an application for the SKKN+ trademark in March.
On behalf of Beauty Concepts LLC, lawyers sent a letter demanding that Kim not use the name. Lansford claims that her trademark has been using the name SKKN+ since July 2017, offering customers skincare services, and that permitting Kim to use the name would mislead customers.
It should be mentioned that Kardashian is planning on updating her KKW beauty collection through SKKN. As reported earlier, she plans to shut down the KKW Beauty website on August 1 and replace it with a “totally new trademark” with a new look.
Kardashian personally didn’t comment on the news.
