The most sensational and anticipated event in the world of fashion, Met Gala—formally called the Costume Institute Gala—concluded at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Vogue reported.
Last year it was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and this year a decision was made to hold it on Monday.
The theme of this event is changed every year, and this year’s Met Gala was dedicated to American fashion, and the official respective dress code was American Independence.
At first, Met Gala 2021 co-chairs Timothee Chalamet and Billie Eilish, tennis player Naomi Osaka, and poet Amanda Gorman appeared on the red carpet.
They were joined—as honorary chairpersons—by Tom Ford, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour, Global Editorial Director of Vogue magazine and Global Chief Content Officer for Conde Nast.
