The granddaughter of the Queen of Great Britain, Princess Beatrice of York, gave birth to her first child - a girl. This was reported on the official website of the royal family.

The baby was born weighing 6.2 pounds. The statement also says that the whole family has already been informed about the birth of an heiress. They thank the entire hospital staff for their care and professionalism.

Beatrice and her daughter are now looking forward to returning home.

Princess Beatrice has already shared the news of the replenishment on her Twitter page.

"So delighted to share the news of the safe arrival of our daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. Thank you to the Midwife team and everyone at the hospital for their wonderful care," she tweeted.
