Today we’ll talk about John Woo 's 2000 movie “Mission: Impossible II.”

So...

1.John Woo replaced Brian de Palma in the director's chair of the sequel.

2.The first version of the film lasted three and a half hours. Paramount Pictures insisted that the film be cut to two hours.

3.The famous rock climbing scene was filmed at Dead Horse Point in Utah. Tom Cruise was on the cables, which were then removed during the editing.

4.The film was initially rated as R (17+), but was re-rated as PG-13 (13+) after the violence was significantly reduced.

5.This is the first film for which Metallica has ever agreed to write a song.

11.With a budget of $ 125 million, the film grossed $546 million worldwide. It is the highest-grossing film of 2000.
