Canadian actor and former "Riverdale" star Ryan Grantham, accused of killing his mother, also allegedly planned to kill Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
According to the former artist, he shot his parent in the back of the head, thereby killing her to "save" her from seeing her son's massacre of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
To kill the politician, Grantham planned to drive more than 50 hours to his destination, but after shooting his mother, he changed his mind about attempting Trudeau's life and decided to commit an "act of mass violence" at Simon Fraser University, from which he had previously been expelled. Finally undecided about the mass murder, the former actor went to the police station, where he confessed to shooting his own mother to death.
Prosecutors demanded that Grantham spend at least 17 years in prison before he could offer himself for parole, but the court has not yet ruled on a term of imprisonment for the former actor.
Shortly before his parent's murder, the "Riverdale" actor began suffering from drug addiction and became prone to depression and suicidal thoughts.
Grantham became known for his role as Jeffery Augustine in "Riverdale." In addition, the former actor starred in the TV series "Supernatural," "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" and others.
