'Friends' star Lisa Kudrow admits she hated seeing herself next to Courteney Cox and Jennifer Anniston on screen

13:15, August 7

Over the past 30 years, the series 'Friends' has been considered one of the most popular sitcoms in the world. Some fans believe that the stunning success of the project is due to the sincere chemistry between the performers of the main roles, who have become close friends not only on the TV screen, but also in real life. However, as it turned out, Lisa Kudrow was quite uncomfortable to work with Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox. The reason for the strained relationship were complexes of the actress.

Kudrow told the podcast Popcrushed that she thought her figure was perfect until she saw herself on screen next to Jennifer and Courteney. The constant comparison to her peers took a toll on the celebrity's self-esteem: "It wasn't until Friends that I realized, 'oh, I don't look like I thought I looked," she said.

"And that's what was so jarring, and that's when it was like, oh, I've got to actually lose weight? I have to diet? Shoot."

Kudrow said that she always thought of herself as "really skinny" until seeing herself "in clothes and seeing Courteney and Jennifer in clothes," the actress shared.

"I just realized, 'oh no — it's OK. This is just what I look like. That's OK. Do what you need to do to be healthy but this is your body and it's OK" she said.
