Actress of Ukrainian origin Mila Kunis gets in scandal, calling borsch Russian dish

In a new interview that aired on Harpers Bazaar's YouYube channel, Ukrainian-born Hollywood actress Mila Kunis called borscht a dish of Russian national cuisine.

“Russian food is always a lot of dishes. You can start with dumplings or dumplings. You can talk about borscht – a Russian soup with beets. But if you don’t like beets, don’t eat them. Russians love smoked fish, fried fish or just fish. Russians, oh Ukrainians… We live in a time when I no longer know what to call myself,”  finished her story about food the artist.

Ukrainian subscribers condemned Kunis for classifying borscht as a Russian dish. They also accused her of the fact that until now she has simply advertised her Ukrainian roots, while in fact she has always considered herself Russian. That said, Kunis and her husband Ashton Kutcher have transferred impressive donations to Ukrainians.

Mila's compatriots complained, saying that the actress thinks like all Russians - all dishes come from Russia. According to them she doesn't even realize that the borscht is Ukrainian and the cabbage soup is Russian. She was born in Ukraine, but she knows nothing about her country.

Milena Markovna Kunis was born August 14, 1983 in Chernivtsi into a Jewish family. Her mother Elvira was a teacher of physics, then ran a pharmacy, her father Mark Borysovich - in the past was an engineer-mechanic in Chernivtsi factory "Legmash", after moving to the U.S. began working as a cab driver. Mila has an older brother Mikhail. The native language of the actress is Russian.
