Hollywood blockbuster "Avatar: The Way of Water" by James Cameron could raise about $ 500 million at the international box office this opening weekend, Variety reports.

In its first weekend in the U.S., the second "Avatar" started with $150 million to $175 million, while other premieres last weekend in the U.S. grossed more: "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" - $181 million, and "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" - $180 million.
