Director Darren Aronofsky has revealed that he is working on a musical based on his film Black Swan, Variety reported.

Aronofsky noted that he does not yet know what will come out of it, but his team is working on the project. The director admitted that he has always wanted to direct a musical. According to the filmmaker, he has several ideas for the realization of the play both on stage and on screen.

The original film Black Swan was released in 2010. It tells about the rivalry between a prima ballerina and a young artist. The film was made in the genre of psychological thriller. Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel starred in the movie.
