Actress Jane Fonda, on the eve of her 85th birthday, shared on her Web site that her cancer is in remission, a fact she called "the best birthday present ever."

"I am feeling so blessed, so fortunate. I thank all of you who prayed and sent good thoughts my way." the artist shared. According to Fonda, she can now finish her chemotherapy course.

The actress reported that she was diagnosed with lymphoma in September. She noted that after her first course of chemotherapy, she felt "stronger than she has ever felt in years."

"I'm especially happy because while my first four chemo treatments were rather easy for me, only a few days of being tired, the last chemo session was rough and lasted two weeks making it hard to accomplish much of anything," she said.
