A criminal case has been filed against the lead singer of American rock band Aerosmith and father of actress Liv Tyler, Steven Tyler, on charges of sexualized abuse of a minor, Deadline reports.

According to alleged victim Julia Holcomb, she dated the Aerosmith frontman between 1973 and 1976. At the time, she was 16 years old and Tyler was 25.

The lawsuit accuses the musician of sexualized violence, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Under California state law, the statute of limitations for such cases has been temporarily waived for survivors of childhood and adolescent abuse.

Holcomb also revealed that she became pregnant with Tyler at age 17, but the musician forced her to have an abortion, threatening to end their relationship if she decided to keep the baby.

The rocker himself also spoke publicly about the relationship. In his personal memoirs, he admitted that he almost married a teenage girl whose parents approved of their relationship and offered Tyler temporary custody of their daughter so he wouldn't be accused of pedophilia.
