Courtney Love says she lost her role in Fight Club because of Brad Pitt

17:14, December 30

Courtney Love blamed Brad Pitt for the loss of her role in Fight Club by David Fincher, Variety reported.

According to the artist, she tried out for the role of Marla in Fight Club in the late 90s, which was later played by Helena Bonham Carter. Love insists that she had a good chance to be in the film, but it was lead actor Brad Pitt who interfered with the casting.

The performer suggests that Pitt talked the director out of approving Love for the project, thus wanting to get back at her. On the eve of the casting, Pitt asked Love for her consent to film the biopic about her ex-husband Kurt Cobain, in which he himself planned to play the lead singer of Nirvana.

Love said no, which she believes paid the price for her role in Fight Club.
