Producer and recording engineer Mark Capps, 54, was shot and killed by police in Nashville, Deadline reported.
Nashville police said Capps was killed after waving a gun at the door. He had previously allegedly held his wife and adult stepdaughter at gunpoint in the house.
The producer's death came just two days after his brother passed away. Capps was wanted on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping. A police spokesman said the record producer led his 60-year-old wife and 23-year-old stepdaughter into their family room at gunpoint at about 3 a.m. and told them that if they called anyone, he would kill them.
