Prince Harry says he didn't include memories that could hurt his father in book

18:24, January 14

Prince Harry, who released his autobiographical book Spare on January 10, admitted that he had twice as much material, but he did not publish it so as not to put his father, King Charles III, and older brother, heir to the throne Prince William of Wales, in a difficult position. The monarch's youngest son, 38, said this in an interview with The Telegraph newspaper that was published Friday.

“There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me.”

He told The Telegraph: “The first draft was different. It was 800 pages, and now it’s down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.
