Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida has died at the age of 96, La Repubblica  reported.

In September the actress was hospitalized with a hip fracture. Lollobrigida health condition did not cause much concern among doctors.

The filmography of the Italian counts more than 60 movies, she is considered one of the most successful actresses of the 50-60's, starring with Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra and Gerard Philip.

Lollobrigida was a Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, and in 2018 received a named star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
