The Doors' guitarist Robby Krieger and relatives of keyboardist Ray Manzarek have sold some of the rights to the band's music and brand to Primary Wave Music, RollingStone reported.
The deal does not affect the rights owned by drummer John Densmore and representatives of vocalist Jim Morrison.
Even so, Primary Wave Music now owns many of the band's hits, including Break on Through (to the Other Side), Light My Fire, Hello, I Love You, People Are Strange, Riders on the Storm and L.A. Woman. The company did not specify the amount of the deal, but called it a great acquisition.
Krieger expressed confidence that Primary Wave Music would take care of the band's legacy.
