Armenian journalist and broadcaster Mher Baghdasaryan has become a laureate of the prestigious Sino Phil Asia International Peace Awards. We learn about this from Baghdasaryan's Instagram page.
Also, Baghdasaryan posted a video in which he thanked for the award, then spoke about the ongoing humanitarian disaster in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the right to life of the Armenians of Artsakh.
“Thanks to sino-phill peace awards Asia foundation, this is an honor. To be honest I’m not good at this kind of things, that’s why I haven’t prepared a proper speech. I’m just a guy, who loves to listen to stories and who loves to tell them on his YouTube channel. Thanks for letting me to tell my story tonight.
Even though I’m here, standing in front of you, but my heart is in my homeland, in Armenia, in Artsakh - Naghorno Kharabakh. As you may know Nagorno Kharabakh is occupied by Azerbaijani solders. Children and mothers are separated, they are stuck there without food, electricity and internet. And we still are talking about 21st century. This is happening now as I am speaking.
The world is vocal, the world is talking about the brave people of Ukraine, the world is standing next to brave Iranian women, but I can’t understand why the world is still silent about people of Naghoro Kharabakh, who are just fighting for their basic human rights freedom. The world is still silent when it comes to my red blue and orange flag. We need to be vocal, we must talk about this and we need a global peace.
That’s why I think we still need to listen people’s stories and tell ones,” Mher Baghdasaryan noted.
Established in Manila, the Philippines, the Sino Phil Asia International Peace Awards is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all humanity.
