A biographical film will be made about the legendary French Armenian musician, the late Charles Aznavour. The release of a feature film about this great Armenian is scheduled for 2024, reports the Armenian Film Society.
The project is being developed since 2020 in collaboration with Charles Aznavour's son Nicolas Aznavour and director Mehdi Idir.
The project is led by French poet and lyricist Fabien Marsaud, known as Grand Corps Malade.
Grand Corps Malade and Mehdi Idir have previously worked together on films such as The Sick and School Life.
Charles Aznavour and Grand Corps Malade had recorded the song "Tu es donc j'apprends" together in 2010, which Aznavour had asked Grand Corps Malade to write for him.
