Drummer Jim Gordon has died at the age of 77, The New York Post reports.

Gordon performed with Eric Clapton and George Harrison.

He was also the drummer of the blues rock band Derek & The Dominos.

The musician was convicted in 1983 for killing his mother, who was suffering from schizophrenia. Gordon was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 16 years. In early 2023, it was reported that the drummer was still incarcerated in a California correctional facility.
