An exhibition, entitled "Mysterious Light of Armenia," was opened at the Museo Pontificio Santa Casa museum in Loreto, Italy, where the black and white photos taken by Italian photographer Andrea Ulivi in Armenia, from 2009 to 2014, were presented. In these photos, the Armenian people and their identity are presented with both happy and sad faces, serious and meaningful.
The faces of children, women, men and the elderly, proud, and knowing that they are Armenians. Faces that even the "great evil"—the Armenian Genocide of 1915—could not erase. Andrea Ulivi tells about his passion for photography and Armenia. "Armenia surprised me, I saw its charm and fell in love. I love photographing this country, it's a total gesture of love. I can't photograph unless I have a real relationship with the subject. What I photograph, they ask me questions; this is how dialogue is born," he said.
