Ex-girlfriend Julia Fox says her affair with Kanye West left ‘sour aftertaste’ in her mouth

Kanye West's former girlfriend, actress and model Julia Fox, admitted that her affair with the rapper left a "sour aftertaste" in her mouth.

In an interview with InStyle, Julia admitted that at that time she felt that she had lost herself as a person, and therefore now she doesn’t even want to think about a relationship with anyone in “this area.”

“Because I never want to be called just someone's girlfriend. I know I’m more than that,” Fox, 34, said. “And I see this happen a lot to women in this industry. They're only as good as their partner, they can make an entire career out of being in a relationship with some guy."

“...I want to break this stereotype, I just want to stand on my own two feet and not need the support of a man,” she added.

After breaking up with Kanye, however,  the actress had a different opinion. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she had claimed dating him was "the best thing that could have happened" to her. “It kind of brought back a spark into my life that I had kind of forgotten about,” she had said at the time.

Fox dated the 46-year-old Yeezy founder for about six weeks in 2021 and 2022 amid his divorce from ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. After the breakup, she admitted that there was “no” sex in their romance because “that’s not really what it was about.”
