Halle Berry, 58, isn’t afraid of ageing, and she feels “better and stronger” than in her younger years. Berry credits red light therapy, regular gym sessions, and cutting out sugar altogether for keeping her youthful. “Age is just a number we’re given when we’re born,” she told Marie Claire. “I feel like I’m at the top of my game now.”

To stay healthy, Berry takes a “cocktail of vitamins and supplements,” as well as progesterone, testosterone, and estriol. She’s relied on personal trainer Peter Lee Thomas over the years to stay in shape for her movie parts. While working on the boxing film Bruised, she trained in jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, and taekwondo.

Berry, who has had diabetes since her 20s, revealed that she has given up sugar. “Sugar is the enemy,” she said, noting that she wouldn’t eat the sweet stuff even if someone paid her. The Catwoman star discussed also the matter of aging in the entertainment industry. “As women, we are defined by [age] much more than men, and sometimes that can be debilitating,” Halle mused. “We have to push back against that and say, ‘No, I’m going to do what I can do as long as I enjoy it!’”
