Madonna calls Selena Gomez's new movie Emilia Perez a 'masterpiece'

Madonna has called Selena Gomez's new film, Emilia Perez, a “masterpiece” with “incredible performances.”

The 66-year-old Queen of Pop shared a photo with the cast after the movie's screening at the New York Film Festival.

In one photo, Madonna stood next to Selena as they posed with the movie's other stars Edgar Ramirez, Zoe Saldanha, Carla Sofia Gascon, Adriana Paz, and dancer and choreographer Damien Jalet.

Selena plays Jessie Del Monte, the wife of a transgender Mexican cartel leader, in the critically acclaimed film directed by Jacques Audiard.

"It was all blood, sweat and tears," Gomez previously had gushed. "I am extremely proud of this project and can't wait for you all to see it! This film has changed my life!"
