Louis Vuitton Escale ‘Snakes Jungle’ watch marks Year of the Wooden Snake
14:58 7 January, 2025The new Louis Vuitton Escale “Snakes Jungle” watch, which marks the Year of the Wooden Snake, is perfect for celebrating the upcoming Lunar New Year, reports Hypebeast. The Métiers d’art dial features an energetic snake in a verdant bamboo forest.
The bamboo forest, made of wood, parchment and straw, is impeccably hand-assembled using marquetry to achieve all 14 shades of green.
The bamboo leaves burst forth and fall onto the case, symbolizing the untamed nature.
Issued in an extremely limited edition of 20 pieces, the “Snakes Jungle” watch is presented in an 18-karat white gold case adorned with a Japanese wave motif, a decorative detail that is also repeated in the LFT023 movement, which can be seen through the open caseback.
The Japanese theme continues on the watch strap. Taking inspiration from the hilt of a katana, the calfskin strap features a hand-woven construction, and its dark green hue complements the earthy palette of the watch.
